About MonPrice

How did the idea come about?

At the beginning of 2025, the son of one of the MonPrice founders became interested in collecting Pokémon cards. He had an album and would ask questions every day: “What card is this? What abilities does this Pokémon have? How much is this card worth?”

After several months of answering these questions, we decided to build a simple app that could answer them automatically. On March 6, 2025, the first version of the app was published on Google Play, and three days later, on March 9, it became available on the App Store as well.

Small team

MonPrice is not the product of one person. Behind it is a small team that shares a passion for TCG cards and technology. We brought these two worlds together to create a useful product that collectors love.

We build and maintain our own data and work with trusted marketplaces and partners, including TCGPlayer, Cardmarket, and eBay. Our goal is simple: to make collecting easier, more transparent, and more enjoyable for everyone.

MonPrice Trademarks

Registered

We’re proud to say that MonPrice is officially a registered trademark, protecting the name we’ve built together with the collecting community.

The MONPRICE word mark was registered on March 3, 2026 (Serial Number 99303888), followed by the MonPrice logo mark on March 10, 2026 (Serial Number 99303894).

It’s a small milestone, but an important one for us as we continue building MonPrice for collectors around the world.
